pH scale is an instrument which is used to determine the pH value of substance. It is a strip with number written in it and with different colour according to the pH value to determined whether the substance is acid or basic in nature. If it is acid the pH value if less than 7, if basic in nature than its more than 7 and if it is basic in nature the pH value is 7 example :- water is neutral, Lemon contain citric acid therefore pH value will be less than 7 and baking soda is basic in nature than its pH value is more than 7.
