pH is the level of acidity or basicity of a substance.

The range of a pH scale is from 1 to 14.

Substances with pH less than 7 are acidic and substances with pH more than 7 are basic. Substances with pH 7 are neutral.

As milk turns to curd, its pH decreases as the concentration of acid (lactic acid) increases
