Ph is the scale which gives information about the solution are acidic or base.

(h ^{ +} ) = 10 ^{ - x } where x = ph \\ log(h ^{ + } ) = log(10 ^{ - ph} ) \\ log \: property \\ \\ log(h ^{ + } ) = - ph \: log10 \\ \\ ph = - log(h ^{ + } )

Question Given :

  • => What is pH scale? How is it related to hydronium ion concentration.

Required Solution :

  • => If the hydronium concentration increases, the pH decreases, causing the solution to become more acidic.

  • => If the hydronium concentration decreases, the pH increases, resulting in a solution that is less acidic and more basic.
