In chemistry, pH is a scale used to specify how acidic or basic a water-based solution is. Acidic solutions have a lower pH, basic solutions have a higher pH. At room temperature, pure water is neither acidic nor basic and has a pH of 7. The scale is logarithmic

this used cheque wether the subsatance is acidic or basic

here is your answer mate..

ph scale is a measure of the hydrogen ion concentration in any solution....

1.It is used to determine a solution whether it is acidic or basic..

2.It also tells the acidic or basic strength of the solution...

of ph=7 then solution is neutral.

if ph >7 then the sol is basic

if ph <7 then sol is acidic....

hope you like it
