What is pH value of solution what is the colour of blue Litmus or red litmus in the following solution i) freshly prepared potassium chloride solution using distilled water ii) freshly prepared sodium hydrogen carbonate solution? give reason for your answer

Potassium chloride reacts with water to produce potassium hydroxide which is basic in nature and turns red litmus to blue and has a pH of more than 12 as it is strong base.

Sodium hydrogen carbonate is also basic in nature as metal sats are basic and even this also turns red litmus paper to blue.
