pH is exactly the measurements of activities of hydrogen (H+ , acidic) and hydroxyl (OH- , basic) in a solution

The word pH stands for potential of hydrogen

Eg:: distilled water > pH= 7 which means neutral at room temperature and more than 7 termed as acidic whereas less than 7 termed as basic

  • The acidity and alkalinity of solution for pH values changes from temperature

Such as pH value 7 means neutral at room temperature where as if we changes temperature the pH values for acidity and alkalinity changes
