Soil pH is a measure of the acidity and alkalinity in soils. pH levels range from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral, below 7 acidic and above 7 alkaline. The optimal pH range for most plants isbetween 5.5 and 7.0; however, many plants have adapted to thrive at pH values outside this range.

Answer:

-> The phenomena of indicating the acidity and alkalinity of the soil by the concentration of Hydrogen is called "pH".

-> The availability of 'N', 'K', 'Mg', 'Ca' and 'S' tends to decrease with decreasing "pH". Since conditions which acidify the soil such as withering and plant uptake also result in removal of these nutrients or in decreased activity.
