Pteridophytes have vascular tissue. They do not produce flowers, seeds or fruits. Hence, they are seedless plants. They reproduce by the formation of spores.

Phanerogams also have vascular tissue with well differentiated body into root, stem and leaves. They are seed bearing plants. They do not reproduce by formation of spores. They are of two types, angiosperms and gymnosperms. Angiosperms are flowering plants whereas gymnosperms do not produce flowers.
