the major difference b/w them is :) The genotype is the set of genes in our DNA which is responsible for a particular trait. and phenotype is physical appearance and characteristic of trait (:)

The genotype is the combination of alleles situated on corresponding chromosomes that determine specific trait of an individual. Such as TT, tt or Tt.

The phenotype is the part of the genotype that is actually visible i.e. physical appearance. The genotype of an individual is responsible for it's phenotype.
