Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plant make their own food by using sunlight, water ,carbon dioxide and green pigment called chlorophyll.

It is an endothermic (takes in heat) chemical process that uses sunlight to turn carbon dioxide into sugars that the cell can use as energy.

Photosynthesis takes in the carbon dioxide produced by all breathing organisms and reintroduces oxygen into the atmosphere.

Photosynthesis is plants taking in water, carbon dioxide, and light to make sugar and oxygen. This is important because all living things need oxygen to survive. All producers make oxygen and sugar for the secondary consumers and then the carnivores eat animals that eat the plants.
