photolysis is the process of splitting up of water molecule into hydrogen ion and oxygen in the presence of sunlight and grana.

➡its equation is as follows :-

⚫2H2O ---energy of 4 photons---> 4H+ + 4e- + O2.

➡the electrons are used in converting ADP ( adenosine diphosphate ) into energy rich compound ATP ( adenosine tri phosphate).
