Photosynthesis is a process in which green plants turn carbon - dioxide and water into food. Sunlight and energy is used in this process. The formula of photosynthesis is "6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2." The importance of photosynthesis is to produce oxygen.
