The process in which plants make their own food with the help of carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll is called photosynthesis.

In other words we can say that photosynthesis is the process in which plants make their own food.

Answer:

Photosynthesis is a process where plants use light energy to male food from simple chemicals.

This process provides food for almost every living thing.

The foods produced a simple sugar like glucose and fructose.

Some of this food is used straight away by the plant. Some of the food is sent off for storage in places like roots (carrots) and stems (potato). Some of  the food is used to grow more of the plant such as leaves, stems, roots and flowers.

Chlorophyll : It is the main pigment in plants and used for photosynthesis. It collects  the sun's energy and gives plant their green colour.
