⇌Photosynthesis is a process in which plants prepare their food.Leaves which contain chlorophyll can only perform photosynthesis. Hence green pigment . leaves which appear to look green in colours contains the green pigment. The green pigmented leaves need sunlight , CO2, water, soil and etc to perform photosynthesis. The leaves has some tiny pores on it which traps the sunlight. Save Trees! this is said because only plants (living organisms) contain cholophyll and can perform photosynthesis. Plants store their food in stems , roots and leaves thats why some of them are edible which can be consumed by humans.
