Green plant and some bacteria can make their own food the plant prepare food by using simple raw material such as carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll rhis process by which plant make their own food in the precence of sunlight is called photosynthesis (photo means light and sy thesis means to combine by this procces plant convert solar energy into chamical energy and store it in different parts like fruit,stem,seed and roots..

Importance of photosynthesis-

1. In most plants glucose in converted into strach and stored in the form of fruits,seed,leaves stem and roots when animals eat these parts they get energy for importance life processes.
2. All life foms on earth like animal and plant need oxygen to breathe.The oxygen realised during photosynthesis is very important for the existence of life on earth.
