Photosynthesis is a anabolic process which occurs in green plants containing chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight.

Photosynthesis occurs in the chloroplast of the plant.

Photosynthesis is divided into two process.

Light reaction and dark reaction.

Light reaction occurs in the grana of the chloroplast. It take place in the presence of sunlight or the light of same wavelength.

In this chlorophyll reacts with sunlight to form excited particles of chlorophyll.

The process of photo laces take place in which H2O is broken down to release hydrogen gas and oxygen.

Then the process of photophosphorylation take place in which nicotinamide dinucleotide phosphate reacts with hydrogen gas to form NADPH2 that is the reduced form.

now the process of dark reaction and dark reaction cannot take place until and unless the light reaction has taken place because the product of light reaction are used in dark reaction.

In this CO2 reacts with any dph 22 form C6H12O6 which is also known as Calvin cycle.

Now the overall reaction is given below,

CO2 + H2O = C6H12O6 + O2 + H2O in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll

I hope my answer will help.
