Answer:

The process of making food in plants is called photosynthesis. In this process plants take in water and minerals from roots to the leaves as leaves make food for the plant. The small pores present on the leaf surface are Called stomata, it helps in the Gas exchange . Stomata takes in Carbondioxide and gives out Oxygen. There is a green pigment present on the leaf surface called chlorophyll. this is the reason why leaf appears green. chlorophyll helps to absorb sunlight to prepare food . This is how photosynthesis take place. to explain in simple words :-

Water + Carbondioxide in the presence of Sunlight and chlorophyll becomes carbohaydrates and Oxygen.

Photosynthesis, the process by which green plants and certain other organisms transform light energy into chemical energy. During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.
