Answer:

photosynthesis is a process of changing light energy into chemical energy by using sunlight .

how this process takes place ?

  • photosynthesis takes place in two phases

light phase

1) when light falls on leaf the pigment chlorophyll absorb visible sunlight and create such condition that the water split into electrons and prontons and molecular oxygen evolves in the atmosphere this process is called photolysis.photolysis is the first step in which molecular oxygen is evolves

2) the electrons and prontons released by the photolysis of water is usedup in the production of assimilatery power in the form of NADPH and ATP

3) light phase takes place in granum part of the chloroplasts

dark phase

1) the assimilatery power generated in the light reaction of photosynthesis is used up in next step where reduction of carbondioxide into carbohydrates this process is also called calvin cycle

2) dark phase takes place in stroma part of plant

hope it's help ✌✌
