Photosynthesis can be described as the process by which plants make their own food.

Photosynthesis can be described as the process by which oxygen and glucose is made from water and carbon dioxide by using light energy from the sun.
The oxygen is produced as a by-product of photosynthesis.
The process of photosynthesis occurs in the leaves of a plant as leaves possess chlorophyll for trapping of sunlight.
