Answer:

The process by which green plants make their own food by using water and carbon dioxide,in the presence of sunlight is called photosynthesis.

This is a unique process in nature by which solar energy is converted into chemical energy which is stored in the food. They are able to do this because they possess a green pigment called chlorophyll , which is found in leaves.

It's chemical equation is:-

CO² + H²O sunlight C6H¹²O6 + O2↑
