Photosynthesis is a photochemical process by which plants (some other organisms also) utilise sunlight and Carbon dioxide to produce food (sugars) , oxygen and water vapour.

it's reaction is

6CO2 + 12H2O ----> C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O
