\bf Photosynthesis is the process by which plants and other things make food. It is a chemical process that uses sunlight to turn carbon dioxide into sugars that the cell can use as energy.

\bf Photosynthesis takes in the carbon dioxide produced by all breathing organisms and reintroduces oxygen into the atmosphere.

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants take in carbon dioxide and water, in the presence of chlorophyll by using sunlight to make their own food, is called as photosynthesis.

The formula for photosynthetic reaction is :-

\sf 12H_2O + 6CO_2 \underset{chlorophyll}{\xrightarrow{Sunlight}} C_6H_{12}O_6 + 6H_2O + 6O_2 \uparrow

Here, oxygen is released as a by product.

Photosynthesis is quantum conversion in which light energy converts into chemical energy which is stored in food substance (Glucose/starch).

Entire process of photosynthesis takes place in chloroplast.
