photosynthesis is the process by which green plants produce their own food using external carbon dioxide and water in the presence of cholorophyll and sunlight .

photosynthesis is made up of two words photo meaning light and synthesis i.e. to produce it's own food .Therefore the process is called soo.

CO2 + H2O = C6H12O6 + O2 .
