\huge\bf{Answer:}

Photosynthesis -

  • Photosynthesis is the process by which plants and some bacteria make their own food with the help of sunlight, water, CO2, chlorophyll.

  • The meaning of photo - light; synthesis - putting together.

  • Photosynthesis is a biochemical process.

  • The process of photosynthesis is an autotrophic mode of nutrition.

  • The equation of photosynthesis is -

6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2.

  • The plants produce the product of photosynthesis as glucose and oxygen

\bf{Raw\:Materials \:of \:photosynthesis :}

There are 4 raw materials of photosynthesis :

1. Water : The water and minerals is absorbed from the soil through the hairs of roots. Water is transferred by xylem to the photosynthesis areas (leaves).

2. Chlorophyll : Chlorophyll is a green coloured pigment present in chloroplasts of a plant. It is responsible for trapping solar energy.

3. Light : Light is trapped by chlorophyll. It removes the hydrogen ions from water. The quality and intensity affect the rate of photosynthesis process.

4. Carbon dioxide : Carbon dioxide is obtained from cellular respiration of organisms and it enters in the stomata of the leave. It is responsible for balancing respiratory release of gas.
