Photosystems are the protein complexes that are responsible for absorption of light during photosynthesis. There are two photosystems involved in photosynthesis; photosystem- I and photosystem- II. These photosystems are located in the thylakoid membranes. Photosystem- I is located on the outer surface and photosystem- II is located on inner surface of thylakoid membrane respectively.
