many plants and some other organisms such as fungi exhibit a tendency to grow towards a light source which is known as phototropism
this movement is very pronounced in some plants

plant response also varies according to the wavelength of light to which they exposed
red light have strong response

plant hormone called auxin trigger cellular Change and swelling inside plant causing it to move towards light

some plants also show negative phototropism means they show growth away from light source
