The various modes of arrangement of leaves on the stem is called Phyllotaxy.
Phyllotaxy facilitates the leaves to obtain more sunlight.
There are three different types of Phyllotaxy , namely, Alternate Phyllotaxy(eg: Mustard) , Opposite Phyllotaxy(eg: Calotropis) and Whorled Phyllotaxy(eg: Nerium).
