Change brought about in the physical properties such as colour , odour , building point , melting point and density of a substance without causing a change in its composition are called physical change.


In a physical change no new substance is formed and it is usually reversible . Glowing of an electric bulb , melting of ice , dissolving of common salt in water and inflation of a hot-air balloon are some examples of physical changes ....
