At hundred degree celcius the state of water can liquid as well as gaseous.

It would be gaseous if if water would have absorbed latent heat.Else if water would not have absorbed latent heat then its state would be liquid.

Note: Latent heat doesn't cause a change in temperature.Because it is used solely to change the state of matter.
