In general terms π is defined as , The ratio of Circumference to the diameter,

π is a constant, It is special because Every circle has this value constant, As I said above even if you take larger circle the ratio to the circumference to the diameter, is constant again !

The Greeks found it special because it is constant everytime so they calculated the value they given the value of pi as 3.14 and so on,

It is irrational so it can't be described as p/q form,

But it is nearly equal to 22/7,

22/7 > π,
