Pipeline transportations are mostly used to carry liquids... Also it's used for gas transport. .
It have merits as well as as demerits..
● Merits :
1. Through pipes , liquids and gas can be carried anywhere easily just by constructing pipelines.
2. The cost to make it is very less so it's also an cheap mode.
● Demerits :
1. If some problem rises, pipes may burst.. and hence liquid or gas may spread and water can be wasted where as if gas is poisonous it will mix up with air...
2. To pass liquid, we will be needing pressure through pipes. Where gas can flow but slowly and it may take few days to reach its destination if the distance is long....
