placenta is a specialised tissues..

Structure--placenta has a disc like structure, it is embedded in the walls of uterus..

3.IT PROVIDES HORMONE PROGESTERONE FOR MAINTAINING PREGNANCY.


A CORD CONTAINING BLOOD VESSELS CONNECTS PLACENTA WITH FOETUS.IT IS CALLED umbilical cord.
