Placenta is a tissue which is composed of blood cells and villi formed to provide nutrition to the developing baby. It even takes out the waste generated by the baby.

Answer:

So it goes like this.

Explanation:

Placenta is a circular organ present in the uterus of pregnant mammals. It helps to nourish the fetus throughout its period in the uterus.

The Placenta is composed of both maternal tissue and tissues derived from  the embryo. It also consists of blood vessels and is also composed of finger like structures known as villi.

The placenta is an organ that connects the developing fetus to the uterine wall to allow nutrient uptake, thermo-regulation, waste elimination, and gas exchange via the mother's blood supply; to fight against internal infection; and to produce hormones which support pregnancy.

Hope it helped you :)
