Placenta is a disc like organ which is attached to the wall of uterus and develops during pregnancy..It provides oxygen and nutrients to the baby in the mother's womb..It helps in the removal of wastes from baby's blood..

the placenta is a organ specially grown in period of pregnancy to support the developing baby.it produces hormones that help to trigger labour. but until the time is right for baby's birth,the placenta secrets hormones such progesterone,estrogen to prevent early labour.it also removes the waste product from the baby's blood to mothers which mother body disposes of.
