To explain the radiations ,MaxPlanck put forward a theoryknown as Planck's quantum theory. ... The energy of eachquantum is directly proportional to the frequency of the radiation, i.e. E =hν = hc/λ ,where h = Planck'sconstant. The total amount of Energy emitted or absorbed by a body will be some whole number quanta.
