Plaque: is a sticky, colorless film of bacteria and sugars that constantly forms on our teeth. It is the main cause of cavities and gum disease, and can harden into tartar if not removed daily by brushing.

larynx: commonly called the voice box, is an organ in the top of the neck of tetrapods involved in breathing, producing soundand protecting the trachea against food aspiration. It houses the vocal folds, and manipulates pitch and volume, which is essential for phonation.

Alveoli: The plural of alveolus. The alveoli are tiny air sacs within the lungs where the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide takes place.
