The liquid part of the blood is called Plasma. It contains digested nutrients,waste products and other chemicals. The total volume of Plasma is an average human adult is 2.5 to 3.0 litres. It constitutes of 60-65% of blood. Plasma contains water(90-92%),proteins(7-8%),inorganic salts(1%) and traces of other substances.
