It, makes up more than half (about 55%) of its overall content. When separated from the rest of the blood, plasma is a light yellow liquid. Plasma carries water, salts and enzymes. The main role of plasma is to take nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need it.

plasma membrane is outer covering of animal cell and inner covering of plant cell . it is made up of fats and lipids

Functions :

1. it provide shape to cell .

2. it is selectively permeable membrane so it allow only specific material to enter or leave cell.

3. it protect the cell

4. it is flexible its flexibility heps it to engulf food this process is known as endocytsis .Ameoba engulf food by this process.
