cell membrane also known as plasma membrane ..which is made up of lipoprotein .it is universal becouse it is present in almost all type of cell [ plant cellor animal cell ] . it is boundary between interior of cell and exterior environment [environment outside of cell] which protects cell part to comes in Contact with outer environment .

it is consist of lipid bilayerd and entegrated proteins which help in selective transportation of nutrients .
