the plasma membrane also referred as cell membrane is a membrane present in both plant and animal cell made up of lipo proteins and Al's it is a semipermeable membrane. Its function is to regulate entry of certain foreign particals , water and minerals . It also maintain the shape of the animal cell

The plasma membrane, or the cell membrane, provides protection for a cell. It also provides a fixed environment inside the cell. And that membrane has several different functions. One is to transport nutrients into the cell and also to transport toxic substances out of the cell.
