Plasmolysis is the process in which the plant cells starts loosing the water when placed in the hypertonic solution,
i.e. the solution with higher concentration of solutes.
Due to osmosis, water in the cell starts oozing out and the cell wall start shrinking. Chemical weedicides are the perfect example of this.
