■WHAT IS PLASMOLYSIS ?

Shrinkage of protoplasm from the cell wall in presence of hypersonic solution due to exosmosis is called plasmolysis .

■WHAT HAPPENS TO PLASMOLYSED CELL WHEN IT IS PLACED IN WATER ?

☆The concentration of water in outside medium is more than the concentration in the cell .

☆Hence water moves inside and it gets swelled up .

☆It becomes turgid .

hope it helps u dear ^_^
