Hii There!!!

#1 Plaster of Paris (POP) is chemically calcium sulphate hemihydrate.


#2 When POP is kept in moisture or when it is attracted towards moisture it sets into hard solid mass called "Gypsum".

#3 Here is the balanced chemical equation :-

CuSO4 . 1/2 H2O + 3/2 H2O ----> CuSO4.2H2O

Here, CUSO4 . 1/2 H2O is POP
and CUSO4.2H2O is Gypsum


#4 Uses :- It is used to support fractured bones.
