There are four types of plastids :
chloroplast
chromoplasts
leucoplast
CHLOROPLAST are responsible for photosynthesis. It is filled with thylakoids.
CHROMOPLAST is a place for the pigments ti be stored and synthesized in the plant . These are found in flowering plants.
GERONTOPLASTS are basically chloroplast. Thes ate beginning to convert into different organelles.
LEUCOPLAST are non pigmented organelles. They have no colour at all .
