plastid is a food factory of plant.
it consist three part
1.leucoplast. ( stores fat , vitamin , protein )
2. Chromoplast ( imparts colour to leave )
3. Chloroplast ( food factory of plant )

Platid is discovered by Heakel in 1865. The name plastid was given by schimper in 1885. Plastid are mainly scattered cytoplasm nd plant cell. These are found in all plant cell accept blue green algae, bacteria, fungi nd red algae. It is not present in animals cell except euglena.
On the basis of colour plastid is divided into three parts_
1. Leucoplast
2. Chromoplast
3. Chloroplast
