Answer:

The plastid is a membrane-bound organelle found in the cells of plants, algae, and some other eukaryotic organisms. They are considered endosymbiotic Cyanobacteria, related to the Gloeomargarita. The event to permanent endosymbiosis probably occurred with a cyanobiont.

There are mainly 3 types of plastids. They are:-

  • Chloroplast (green-coloured)
  • Chromoplast (colourful)
  • Leucoplast (colourless)

Chloroplast is the pigment which gives leaves there colour. Chromoplast provide various bright colours to fruits, flowers, etc. And Leucoplast is used to store fat in plants.

hope u got it ✌️
