1) The liquid

2) The soft edible kernel

Both of these develop from the PEN (primary endosperm nuclei) after the fertilisation, which on itself is triploid , therefore the derevatives of the PEN , the liquid endosperm and the kernel both are triploid (3n)

NOTE : The liquid endosperm undergoes free nuclear division and the solid kernel undergoes cellular division
