✴ A a satellite which revolves in polar Orbit around earth is called polar satellite.

⚡ polar satellite passes through geographical North and South poles of earth once per Orbit .

⚡ satellites are used for getting the cloud images, atmospheric data, Ozone layer in the atmosphere and to detect the Ozone hole over Antarctica
