Answer:

Polarization (also polarisation) is a property applying to transverse waves that specifies the geometrical orientation of the oscillations. In a transverse wave, the direction of the oscillation is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the wave.

Ferroelectricity is a characteristic of certain materials that have a spontaneous electric polarization that can be reversed by the application of an external electric field. All ferroelectrics are pyroelectric, with the additional property that their natural electrical polarization is reversible.

Piezoelectric effect is the ability of certain material to generate electric charge under the effect of mechanical pressure. For example quartz crystal exhibits piezoelectric effect. On the other hand, certain material generates electric charge when subjected to heat, this phenomenon is termed as pyroelectricity.

Electrostriction (cf. magnetostriction) is a property of all electrical non-conductors, or dielectrics, that causes them to change their shape under the application of an electric field.
