A polity is any sort of governmental substance. In other words, it is an assembly of people who are conjointly embodied by a self-reflected connecting force for instance identity, which have the potential to assemble support and are regulated by some kind of institutionalized government. A polity can be exhibited in several models, such as an empire, a state, a universal institution, a political association etc. A polity, like a nation, does not require being an independent assembly.
